Question by treehouseunderground: what pixel size should I use for my logo?
I’m doing a project and I need to make stickers for promotional material. I’m just going to make it a simple square sticker but what pixel size (WxH) should I use so that I have about 6 stickers on each print out?

What size paper are you using to print this logo? If you’re going with an 8.5″ by 11″, be sure to take into account the margins of the page. Generally, margins are set to 1/4 inch by default for printers that print on this size of paper.
The most important aspect of this answer is in regard to how many pixels should make up each logo. The number of pixels in an image is measured by pixels per inch, which is also known as dpi (i.e. dots per inch). Regardless, an image’s dpi or pixels per inch are referred to as “resolution”.
When you view graphics on your computer screen, they usually contain anywhere from 72 to 96 pixels per inch. This resolution is fine for viewing an image on a screen, but if printed onto paper, the image would appear pixelated. In other words, you’ll clearly see the pixels that make up the image.
If you plan to print a graphic, or photo, you will want to use a minimum of 150 dpi, but I would highly recommend going with 300 dpi resolution to produce the best quality print.
You can adjust the print size independently of resolution. In this case, we have a 1/4″ margin surrounding the page. This leaves us with a printable area of 8″ x 10.5″. The images’ individual print size should be equal to, or less than 4″ in width, and 3.5″ in height.
I hope this helps.
